Drop-in session available to collect O+ and O- samples
Manx Care is appealing for specific blood types to consider donating in response to an alert for stocks being seen in the UK.
Those with O- or O+ are required.
It's estimated that around eight percent of people have O- blood but makes up 13 percent of requests from hospitals.
Anyone can receive the red cells from O- donors, so blood can be used in emergencies or when a person's blood type in unknown.
An additional blood donation ‘drop-in’ session is open this afternoon between 15.00 and 18.00 at the Old Noble’s donor suite.
