Structure to honour racers, marshals and club members
Having a permanent memorial in honour of those involved in the Southern 100 will give supporters of the races somewhere for a quiet moment of solitude.
That's the hope of Reverend John Coldwell, who's part of an appeal to raise funds to build the structure in time for this year's races.
The memorial would sit near Church Bends on the Billown Course, remembering racers, marshals and others involved in the event.
He hopes it's a welcome addition to the track:
