Pardons applied automatically, but more details needed to clear criminal record
People pardoned of historical homosexual offences will have to apply to the Department of Home Affairs to have convictions removed from their criminal records.
While pardons have been applied automatically, more information is needed for the police to remove details from an individual's file.
It's expected the process will take around 12-weeks.
