Leading speakers meet at Manx Museum
The Island is now in a better place to appreciate its architectural heritage and to bring forward innovative building designs - that's according to Policy and Reform Minister Chris Thomas.
He's praised all those involved in the Isle of Architecture initiative and the work of the Building Conservation Forum for encouraging a change in attitude in the field.
Speakers from some of the UK's leading architectural studios gathered recently at the Manx Museum for a symposium on the sustainable re-use of historic buildings.
Mr Thomas told Manx Radio new approaches to the built environment are a positive for the Island:

Consultation open on plans to formally recognise the heritage of Douglas Head
Fundraiser to keep St John Ambulance emergency fleet on the road
Ayre and Michael MHKs request meeting with commissioners over rates
Data breach impact rises sharply as cyber incidents affect thousands on Isle of Man
Reassurance for local telecare users and community support offer
