Government initiative aims to reduce carbon emissions

Government is calling on members of the public to find out.
Designed to assist residents with their fuel bills, the scheme provides up to £1,000 towards improvements to make homes more efficient, and lower carbon emissions.
Loft insulation, draught-proofing windows, and thermostat installations are among the improvement's on offer through the scheme, which has been created as part of the Climate Change Mitigation Strategy.
Those eligible may have an income of up to £29,000 per annum, with jointly taxed couples allowed a combined income of up to £43,000.
