Parade, live entertainment and three air displays on the cards
The annual Armed Forces Day celebration will return to Douglas today (20 June).
There will be live entertainment, charity stalls, food and drink outlets and even a funfair in the Villa Marina Gardens between 1pm and 5pm.
There will also be a procession of veterans, military personnel, and cadets through the city from Regent Street to the War Memorial, starting at 2pm.
Road closures will be in place on Loch promenade and Harris Promenade between 1:30pm and 2:40pm while the parade takes place.
Meanwhile, marking the occasion in the skies over Douglas Bay will be a series of three air displays.
The first will be an eight-minute Spitfire display, getting underway at 3:15pm.
That will be followed at 3:40pm by 3 flypasts by a Dakota DC-3 aircraft from the RAF's Battle of Britain Memorial Flight.
Then a formation of 4 Hawk T2 jet aircraft from RAF Valley will close the event with a flypast at 5pm.
