The Department of Community, Culture and Leisure has confirmed arrangements for the next strike in the ongoing bus dispute which is due to take place tomorrow (Wed)
A two part action is planned, with drivers taking industrial action between 7.30 and 9.30am, then again in the afternoon between 3 and 5pm.
The steam railway and Manx Electric Railway will be operating again at peak times for schools and commuters - but will NOT run through the rest of the day.
Subject to changing conditions during the strike, the DCCL says buses will operate timetables based on the regular Sunday and Bank Holiday schedules for the full day but with additional services at peak hours to serve schools and commuter travel.
Additional parking will be available at Circus Beach between 9am and 5pm, although there will be a £4 charge for this and also at Douglas Corporation's pay and display facility at the Bowl car park on Pulrose Rd. However, there will be NO additional parking on the Promenade walkway.
Commuters are also asked to consider car sharing, flexible working hours or working from home if possible in order to ease congestion.
Full timetables are now available at the Welcome Centre and online at www.iombusandrail.info and cf.gov.im.
