It's for The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize 2025
The work of 30 young Manx artists will be displayed at Noble’s Hospital next month, ahead of an overall winner being chosen for a prestigious prize.
Teachers were invited to nominate their best art students to submit works for The Sovereign Art Foundation Students Prize 2025.
Eighty-nine entries were assessed by a judging panel, with an overall winner set to receive £800 for themselves and £2000 for their school.
The results will be announced at a private event on 30 October 2025.
Students can also enter their works into a silent auction with the proceeds split between the artist and two local charities - Manx Children's Art Therapy and Arts Aid.
Exhibition visitors and online audiences can cast a vote for their favourite finalist artwork, the most popular of which will receive a Public Vote Prize of £400 (and their school £1,000).
Simcocks Advocates have sponsored the Originality Prize with an award of £400; and this year Standard Bank Offshore are sponsoring an under 16 category of the Judges and Public Vote prizes, matching the prize funds for the students and their schools.
Online votes are open to the general public via the web gallery with voting closing on 24 October 2025.
Winners are to be announced at a private event on 30 October 2025.
