
The Western Open Studios Art Trail gets underway this morning (3 May) when the event is officially opened at the House of Manannan by Peel MHK Tim Crookall.
WOSAT is described as a three day extravaganza of the visual arts and sees more than 40 artists exhibiting and demonstrating their work.
Highlights include a major exhibition at the Isle Gallery at St Johns and the 'yarn bombing' of Peel which sees street graffiti made of knitting and crochet.
The event runs all weekend and through bank holiday Monday.
Members of the public can buy a trail guide to lead them around the many exhibits, events and artists' studios.
Potter Katy Mitchell will welcome visitors to her ceramics studio in Bishopscourt and says the trail offers something for everyone this year:
