Douglas North MHK weighs in on potential for gas extraction in Manx waters
A Douglas North MHK says there must always be a 'people first' approach to any issues relating to climate change.
David Ashford has been discussing whether gas should be extracted if it was confirmed in Manx waters.
Crogga has been given an extended licence to conduct surveys to see if there is gas below the seabed off Maughold.
However, it's something the Green Party amongst others have called on the government to abandon in line with climate commitments.
But David Ashford says we must be realistic:
