A Douglas Councillor says he’ll contest the North Douglas by-election, making him the second person to declare he’s running in 48 hours.
David Ashford, who represents Victoria Ward, says he’ll fight for the seat left vacant after Bill Henderson was elevated to the Legislative Council.
Mr Ashford has served on Douglas Council for seven years, and says government takes too short a view of the problems facing the Island.
He says there are a number of issues that need addressing at a national level:
(Tuesday, March 24th 2015)
Taxi fares on the Island to rise
Weather causes changes to today's sailing schedule
Kewaigue closure in place this weekend for manhole replacement
New Captain of the Parish of Arbory appointed
Lack of TT trade 'to blame' for retail company closure
