Campaigner is threatening legal action if the legislation is enacted

The mover of a Bill legalising Assisted Dying on the Isle of Man insists it is compliant with the European Convention on Human Rights.

It's after a campaigner against the legislation threatened to start legal action against the Manx government if the legislation is implemented on the Island.

Earlier this week, Tynwald voted in favour of amendments to the Bill after the UK Ministry of Justice asked for more clarity of safeguarding protections before it could recommend it for Royal Assent.

And Ramsey MHK Alex Allinson believes they will go far enough to reassure the UK government it's compliant:
