Mover of bill says MHKs are supportive but want to see safeguards in place
Politicians are generally supportive of assisted dying legislation but they want to see safeguards in place.

The Assisted Dying Bill is due to have its second reading in today's sitting of the House of Keys.
More than 3,300 people responded to a public consultation on the subject, earlier this year, with a wide range of views shared.
Ahead of the second reading of the bill campaign groups for and against it have been voicing their opinions with a number of parties expected to be present outside the House of Keys.
Dr Allinson says it's important the laws are right for the Island:
Meanwhile an Onchan MHK says members need to look very carefully at proposals for assisted dying laws on the Isle of Man before bringing in new legislation.
If the second reading passes Rob Callister intends to ask for a five-member committee to be set up to scrutinise the bill further.
He says each clause must be closely examined:
