Project expected to take 5 weeks
The Athol Park play area in Port Erin will be closed for five weeks throughout August for a summer refurbishment.
Village commissioners have set aside £90,000 for the project, which will see the site enhanced with new features for younger children.
The junior football area of the park towards Droghadfayle Road will see the creation of a new play area, 'primarily aimed at teenagers'

It comes following feedback provided via a consultation held in 2018, with schoolchildren and members of the public.
The new equipment will be supplied by Kompan Limited, and the project is expected to take five weeks to complete.
