Ramsey resident facing a number of offences
A Ramsey man whose drunken attempt to drive to McDonald's landed him in court will be sentenced next month.
Twenty-seven-year-old Paul Anthony Moore, of Court Row, has admitted a string of offences, including drink-driving, driving without insurance, damage to property and having two bald tyres on his car
Police attended a crashed car at the Mountain Mile on the Mountain Road at around 1.40am on 30 October last year.
No one was with the vehicle at the time - all three occupants had fled the scene.
About three hours later one of the passengers from the car walked into Ramsey police station and told officers what had happened.
A couple of hours after that, a search of the area around the crash scene by a police dog and its handler found Moore in the marshal's hut there - he told the officer he had broken in to shelter from the cold.
Sentencing was adjourned until 20 February so a probation service report can be prepared.
