John Quinn speaks to Tynwald committee
The Attorney General has thrown his weight behind a change that, he says, would underline the separation of the prosecution function from the executive.
John Quinn, giving evidence to a Tynwald Standing Committee this morning, said he agreed with the recently-published Wooler report, which suggested a change in the relationship between the Director of Prosecutions and the Attorney General should be examined.
Mr Quinn said all prosecutions are firstly brought in the name of the Attorney General, as Crown Officer:
