August on the Isle of Man was the driest on record since 2005.
Total rainfall during the month measured 46.1 millimetres.
The average temperature was 15.5 degrees Celsius – with the highest temperature of 21.6 recorded on the 25 August.
Cloudy skies meant hours of sunshine dropped to just over 147 – that's 22 per cent less than normal.
