Witness saw workers trapping them with an excavator
Auldyn Construction says it has fully investigated claims some workers were harming birds on Douglas Promenade.
According to social media reports, witnesses saw workers trying to trap seagulls with food before hitting them with an excavator.
The firm's confirmed no birds were harmed and has apologised for any distress caused.
Auldyn's staff are being reminded it's an offence to injure wild birds.
