The chairman of the Island’s Water Authority says a letter to Tynwald members suggesting the body should merge with the MEA is “unprofessional”.
John Houghton MHK made the remarks after news about the letter emerged during Tynwald questions this morning.
Mr Houghton says he knew the Council of Ministers was considering the idea, but neither he nor his officers have been consulted.
He says he’d have expected to be told about any such proposals before they were sent to MHKs and MLCs.
