Job glut in eGaming, dearth in construction
Unemployment in the Isle of Man fell slightly last month by 0.1% to 1.2%, a decrease of 222 in the registered unemployed total.
Of the 552 people without work, there were exactly twice as many men as women.
The construction sector has the highest number of people seeking jobs while the eGaming industry currently has more vacancies than any other.
The drop in the jobless total meant there were more people leaving the unemployment register than joining it last month - a decrease of 40.
At the end of October there were 537 mainly full-time vacancies at the Job Centre, with medical and health services, retail distribution and public administration among sectors searching for staff.
