He admits breaching the terms of his release licence
A prisoner, released early from the Isle of Man Prison, has been sent back to jail after cutting off an electronic tracking tag.
Thirty-five-year-old Christopher James Christian of Lord Street in Douglas appeared before magistrates at Douglas courthouse.
He admitted breaching the terms of his release licence and criminally damaging the tag.
Prosecution advocate Rachel Braidwood told the hearing Christian had been let out of prison early on 14 July.
Police checked at his home on 2 August but discovered he wasn't there - despite a 6pm to 6am curfew.
They also found he'd cut through the tagger's bracelet and left the device on the floor of his home.
He later handed himself into police and said he'd been given permission to stay out late to celebrate his mother's birthday.
Magistrates sent him back to prison for a month and imposed an extra concurrent fortnight in jail for damaging the tag.
