A backbench MHK says it's not too late for the chief minister to avoid a vote of no confidence, but he needs to start listening to the public.
Arbory, Castletown and Malew member Tim Glover is among a number of MHKs seeking feedback from the public on the future of Alfred Cannan's administration.
It follows concern from the public, unions and the business sector over the impact of the budget, and last week's dismissal of Julie Edge from the Council of Ministers.
While Mr Glover admits he's leaning towards supporting calls for a vote of no confidence, he believes Mr Cannan can win back the public:
