
North Douglas MHK Bill Henderson has broadly welcomed today's budget.
The first to respond to the Treasury Minister's speech, he congratulated Eddie Teare for delivering a successful re balancing plan.
He also said it was good to see something being given back to the public, who have put up with pay freezes and increased charges in playing their part to support the economy.
Mr Henderson said a strong message needed to go out that the Isle of Man is a resiliant nation which has weathered the storm well.
But he had criticism for the Department of Economic Development, and questionned how much its officers and political leaders were doing to attract new business:
