Level two warnings have been issued for Laxey, Douglas, Castletown and Carrick Bay, so waves are likely to break over exposed coastal areas, bringing debris and temporary flooding.
This evening's sailing to Heysham has been cancelled, along with the return trip in the early hours of tomorrow morning.
A decision is expected at 7am tomorrow about the morning's sailing.
At the airport, this evening’s flights to and from Gloucester are cancelled, as are flights to Blackpool, Belfast City, Liverpool and Gatwick, and the late arrival from Manchester.
