Role vacant since resignation of Kate Lord-Brennan MLC in July
Tim Baker MHK is now taking responsibility for Highway Services.
Infrastructure Minister Ray Harmer revealed the news this morning.
The move will see Mr Baker take on the new role in addition to being member for ports, and being chair of Isle of Man Meats with the Department of Environment, Food and Agriculture.
The Highways Services position has been vacant since the resignation of Kate Lord-Brennan MLC in July.
It's understood she took the decision because she felt it was getting in the way of her carrying out her main role as an MLC - scrutinising legislation.
Mr Baker says he will use his experience in the private sector and insight from his current infrastructure role to provide 'strategic oversight' in a 'busy division'.
