It says the decision wasn't sudden or easy
A bakery in Peel has announced it will be closing.
In a post on social media, the owner of GG Bakery, on Michael Street, says the decision wasn't sudden or easy, but the reality of running a small independent business in the current climate has become unsustainable.
It adds the hardest part is that the closure isn't because the bakery wasn’t supported, but because overheads continue to rise, and many independent businesses are being left to carry impossible pressures with very little meaningful support.
A closing date hasn't been confirmed yet.
