Meeting packed to capacity
Ballasalla village hall was packed to capacity last night - with others queueing outside to get in - for a public meeting about the future of the local post office.
The chair of Isle of Man Post Office and members of its board were on hand to give a presentation and take questions from residents.
Also present was one of the area's MHKs - Graham Cregeen.
Mr Cregeen says many at the meeting felt the board had already decided to shut the counter and replace it with a self-service kiosk, despite the board's protestations to the contrary and a public consultation currently taking place.
He added that the people who attended were very much against its closure:
