Tony Seymour recognised for transforming local green space and ongoing landscaping work
Malew Parish Commissioners have announced the recipient of their 2025 Community Award, with Ballasalla resident Tony Seymour recognised for his contributions to the local environment.
The award - now in its third year - has been presented to Mr Seymour for his work improving a landscaped bank along Abbots Way, which had previously become 'overgrown and neglected'.
The Commissioners say the area has been transformed through his efforts into a space the community can take pride in.
The work was largely carried out independently, with occasional support from his sons, Edward and Christian, and their friend Jonas.
In addition to the project at Abbots Way, Mr Seymour has also planted a number of trees at the Commissioners’ Feigh Keign field.
