Weekend trips attract 850 visitors
Supporters of the coastal cruiser Balmoral say the vessel's return to Manx waters this weekend proved hugely popular.
Around 850 day trippers sailed from Whitehaven in Cumbria to Douglas on Saturday and Sunday, to visit local attractions, ride the steam train and cruise to the Calf of Man.
The vessel has been restored by volunteers and is on a 'comeback' tour of the British Isles, offering pleasure trips to pay her upkeep.
Around 50 visitors stayed overnight on Saturday, while local beer and food were served on board Balmoral during the crossings.
