Tynwald votes to outlaw certain items
A ban on single use plastic items on the Isle of Man is welcome, but could go further.
That's from the director of Manx environmental charity Beach Buddies, as Tynwald agreed to bring in the new legislation next year.
Businesses on the Island have been given 12 months to phase out items such as plastic straws, cutlery and polystyrene containers.
Bill Dale from the charity says he'd like to see more items added to the ban, and wants to know how the law will be enforced:
