Former commissioner's clerk back in court
A former local authority clerk who served a jail term for masterminding an election fraud will appear in court again this month for bankruptcy proceedings.
Charles Buster Lewin, who was sentenced to three and a half years for his involvement in voting fraud in the Douglas East by-election five years ago, was declared bankrupt in July.
He lost a wrongful dismissal case against Braddan Commissioners and was ordered to pay the board’s £300,000 legal bill.
Lewin, of Crosby, will appear in the High Court in Douglas on Monday, December 21 at 11.30am to undergo public examination.
