Less than £20k paid out under it since 2018
More needs to be done to encourage low-income households to use a scheme to make their homes more energy efficient.
That's the admission from DEFA Minister, Clare Barber, who was asked about how much has been paid out under the Energy Efficiency Scheme.
The initiative can provide 75 per cent grants, up to £1,000, for low-income households to install energy-saving modifications.
Since it launched in 2018, £19,779.66 has been paid out under it - Mrs Barber admits this is 'low uptake':

'Essential' that school staff recognise the signs of an allergic reaction
'High' risk of wildfires over the next week
'Come From Away' to continue after cast member injured during rehearsal
'Parks in worse state then when I started' says Peel commissioner
