MHK and former nurse has raised concerns in Tynwald
There will soon be a politician tasked specifically with improving the ‘culture’ within the Department of Health and Social Care.
Health minister David Ashford made the announcement before the Social Affairs Policy Review Committee this morning, when discussing the delegated responsibilities allocated to his departmental members.
Clare Barber MHK, a former nurse, has previously raised concerns in Tynwald about systemic problems concerning the culture, and even bullying, within the department.
Mr Ashford says she’ll soon be given the chance to tackle that head on:
