The Britain's Got Talent sensation Susan Boyle and Les Miserables star Laxey-born Sam Barks are coming to film on the Island.
Outlining new initiatives for 2013 in his budget speech, Treasury Minister Eddie Teare said the pair would star in the latest movie to be shot here. Filming of A Christmas Candle is due to begin in the next few weeks.
Mr Teare said the Manx government's investment in Pinewood Shepperton film studios was paying dividends, with four films put into production since last October, twice the number made in the previous 12 months.
