First performance of Broadway show
Samantha Barks takes to the stage in a new Broadway production for the first time tonight (Fri 20).
She has a starring role in Pretty Woman, which opens at the Nederlander Theatre on Broadway this evening.
The Laxey born actress is playing Vivian, the part made famous by Julia Roberts, as the show returns to New York following a stint in Chicago.
Barks shot to fame in 2008 during Andrew Lloyd Webber's 'I'd Do Anything', and since then has performed in Les Miserables and Cabaret.
