A Manx band which raised more than £6,000 for farmers hit by the heavy snows last spring says it’s hoping to attract enough votes from the public to win a prestigious award.
Barrule released a song in Manx about sheep lost in snow from its debut album, offering it for download in return for donations.
Now the trio’s album, also called Barrule, will be in the running for a Songlines Music Award if it can attract enough votes online.
Bouzouki player Adam Rhodes is hoping the Island will get behind the group in the Island’s Year of Culture: (play audio)
