Symbolic tour reaches Manx soil
The build-up to next year’s Commonwealth Games will gather pace in the Island this weekend.
The Queen's Baton Relay is on Manx soil for a three day tour - eight months ahead of the 2018 event in Australia's Gold Coast.
It’s the baton’s 43rd stop on it's symbolic tour of Commonwealth nations.
There’s a number of chances for the public to see the baton being carried around the Island today (Saturday), starting at the National Sports Centre at 9.10am before heading to Laxey, the centre of Douglas and Cregneash this afternoon.
