Person reported in the water on Douglas beach
A search for someone who was spotted on Douglas beach in the early hours of this morning proved fruitless.
Douglas lifeboat, Sir William Hillary, launched shortly before 1am after a person was reported to have gone into the sea near the Palace Hotel.
The lifeboat searched Douglas Bay using parachute flares to help light the search area, but the search was called off just after 2am when nobody was found.
