Increase in fake emails and texts in December
Isle of Man residents are being told to report any suspicious emails to the Cyber Security Centre this December.
It's as a junior analyst there says there will be an increase of emails and text messages being sent to people from scammers.
Sam Hudson says that often it would seem realistic with information about changes in delivery dates or mixed addresses, but he advises people not to click any links and instead call the company directly to confirm
He adds if it goes straight to the junk folder, keep it there as the email system could have picked up something suspicious in it:
