Third time lucky for volunteers
It's going to be third time lucky for Beach Buddies today (Sun)
Poor weather has put paid to their last two attempts to clean the coastline at the Ballaghennie Ayres Nature Reserve.
But organiser Bill Dale says the event today is going ahead, whatever the weather!
He says a cleaning session will take place for 90 minutes from 10.30 am even if the heavens open.
They will tackle beaches north and south of the car park, which have not been cleaned since early last summer.
It's the final volunteer event for a few weeks, ahead of a short autumn break.
As usual, all are welcome, including well-behaved dogs, equipment is provided and rubbish collected will be recycled wherever possible.
