Charity set to clean from Scarlett to Pool Vaaish
Beach Buddies is heading south tomorrow, as volunteers look to tackle the beaches and coves from Scarlett to Pool Vaaish.
Scarlett car park is the meeting and starting point at 10.30am, with the session scheduled to finish by midday.
Founder Bill Dale says the charity is also delighted to welcome a special guest this weekend - professor Colleen McLean, from Ohio State University Youngstown, who is returning to the Isle of Man for another visit.
Beach Buddies has strong links with the university, Mr Dale says, and has visited twice in the last two years to give presentations on environmental issues.
It's hoped in the future the university will be able to set up a joint field station with Beach Buddies on-Island, for research purposes.
As always, all equipment will be provided and all materials collected will be removed by Beach Buddies, recycled where possible.
