Public asked to bring plastic bottles
FIM Capital Beach Buddies are taking on a slightly unusual challenge this evening (Thurs 21st)
They're building a life-size basking shark outside the House of Manannan and The Creek Inn in Peel.
Members of the public are being asked take plastic bottles to make the shark, which will be a feature in this year's Parish Walk.
FIM Capital Beach Buddies is teaming up with First Names Group to create an "Oasis" at Eary Cushlin, with a major feature being a giant basking shark into which walkers can throw their empty plastic water bottles.
First Names Group is also providing drinks, food and refreshments at the 200m long "Oasis" at the roadside 25 miles into the Parish Walk.
The shark will be built tonight (Thursday) from 6pm, and everyone is welcome to go along and join in.
