Charity returns to its roots
After a week's break, Beach Buddies is returning to Manx shores today.
Volunteers will travel north this morning for a beach cleaning session at Ballaugh, where Beach Buddies started just over 13 years ago.
Founder, Bill Dale, says at the time, parts of the coastline were almost "knee-deep" in plastics and marine waste.
Today, it's one of the cleanest beaches on the Isle of Man, thanks to regular beach cleaning events and volunteers.
Today's session starts at 10.30am and goes on until noon, everyone is welcome.
As usual, equipment will be provided and rubbish collected will be recycled wherever possible.
