Cyclist's accident a warning to drivers
Police say it wasn't just motorbikes getting into scrapes at this year's Festival of Motorcycling.
Officers have posted a picture of a mangled pushbike, involved in a collision with a car a fortnight ago, on social media.
Despite the crash being 'low speed', the rider suffered a serious head injury, broken bones, and a punctured lung - and is now recovering after surgery.
Fortunately, he was wearing a helmet.
Motorists are being reminded to watch out for cyclists and give them plenty of space - with the message 'saving a few seconds is not worth risking somebody's life'.
