Nine-year-old Lucas was born with myotnic dystrophy
It's taken almost eight months to complete but a room designed to be a place of tranquillity for a child dealing with illness is almost complete.
In February, John Skelton of John Skelton Painting and Decorating Limited asked the Manx public to nominate a child whose bedroom needed redecorating.
From that search, he found nine-year-old Lucas who was born with myotonic dystrophy - which is a genetic condition that causes progressive muscle loss and weakness.
John told Manx Radio the generosity of everyone wanting to get involved has been overwhelming:
