South Douglas MHK Kate Beecroft says a huge dossier about the Sefton Group she presented to Tynwald members last night was entirely public information.
The file, with information about shareholders, company directors, share dealings and links to other firms, sparked hours of furious debate in the court.
It led to accusations from other members she’d compiled the data using information given out in private briefings to Tynwald members.
But Mrs Beecroft says it’s the result of research in the companies registry as well as on the internet, and she dismissed suggestions she’d leaked confidential information: (play audio)
