
Liberal Vannin leader Kate Beecroft believes the Manx Government is still living beyond its means, despite Treasury Minister Eddie Teare claiming success in rebalancing the books this year.
Mrs Beecroft says the figures from Treasury are an accounting fudge masking the real situation.
And she believes the whole way the budgets for Government departments are set each year needs to change so that priorities are set over a longer period of time.
Mrs Beecroft agrees with Michael MHK Alf Cannan that the budget is £77 million shy when you look at the figures more closely and factor in future liabilities:-
