No direct rule here, says chief minister
The chief minister says the world's offshore financial centres can expect prolonged and intense scrutiny following the release of the so-called Panama Papers.
This week's huge data leak has focused global attention on the way offshore schemes are used for tax avoidance.
Although the Isle of Man is cited in the documents, Allan Bell says the Island is not in the front firing-line - and has a good story to tell as a responsible business player.
However, he admits threats to the reputation of all offshore jurisdictions are a concern.
He's dismissed Jeremy Corbyn's suggestion the UK government should consider direct rule over the Crown Dependencies.
Mr Bell says the Labour leader has another agenda:

Increased DfE support 'to tackle rising costs and global pressures'
Police appeal after two motorcycles involved in collision
Childcare Credit payments to increase
Manx Care advice to those on Depo-Provera injection
Health minister welcomes reduction to dental waiting list
