Gay couples can wed from Friday
An historic moment for the Island.
That's the view of the Chief Minister Allan Bell after the announcement of Royal Assent to the Marriage and Civil Partnership Act in Tynwald yesterday.
The legislation allows same sex couples to marry either in a civil ceremony, in certain religious settings with agreement, in a register office or other approved premises.
It comes into effect from Friday.
