A revised departure time will be issued in due course
The Ben-my-Chree has returned to Douglas this morning (22 June) due to a medical emergency on-board.
The vessel left the Island at 8.15am this morning and arrived back in Douglas Harbour shortly before 10am.
The Steam Packet Company says the alarm was raised around 15 minutes into the crossing at which point the decision was made to turn back.
An ambulance was waiting at the sea terminal to take the passenger to hospital.
The service has since departed again for Heysham.
